These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the CompanionAI app and website. By using CompanionAI, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CompanionAI. By using the service you confirm that you are 18 or older.

What CompanionAI is

CompanionAI provides AI-driven companion personas for conversation and entertainment. The companions are software — they are not real people, therapists, or licensed professionals.

Not professional advice

CompanionAI is not a substitute for professional medical, mental-health, legal, or financial advice. If you are in crisis or may harm yourself or others, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line immediately. Do not rely on a companion for emergencies.

Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Don't share your account or use someone else's.

Purchases

CompanionAI offers one-time persona unlocks and an optional Pro upgrade, purchased through Google Play. Billing, refunds, and cancellations are handled under Google Play's policies. Unlocks are tied to your account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or abuse the service.
• Use the service to harass, harm, or exploit others.
• Attempt to extract another user's data.

Content and conversations

Companion responses are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or unexpected. You use them at your own discretion. We may set usage limits (such as a daily free message cap) and adjust them over time.

Intellectual property

The CompanionAI app, website, personas, artwork, and branding are owned by us and protected by law. You may not copy or redistribute them without permission.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CompanionAI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
